We have an amazing opportunity to support and steer Basingstoke West District Scouts!

As Deputy District Chair, you will be a Trustee Board member supporting the District Chair to ensure that it fulfils its responsibilities, in close partnership with the District Chair and the District Commissioner.

If you can motivate others, keep a cool head and balance a variety of views then you would be an ideal deputy chairperson. With experience of steering meetings to produce excellent decisions, you’ll be equally willing to speak your mind as encouraging others to express their views.

Whilst many of our volunteers work directly with young people you can make a big impact behind the scenes. Your time and skills can make a difference in so many ways. Helping with finance and governance behind the scenes is essential so young people can gain skills for life in a safe and inclusive environment.
