Archery is available for all Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Adults.
Note: BWDS do not run Archery for Beavers as we do not believe they have the physical capability to get the most from the activity.
Locations
Middle Copse
We have set up a permanent range at Middle Copse and have permission in place to run archery there at any time.
If you wish to run the activity at Middle Copse it is the responsibility of the person booking to also book Middle Copse, the archery team will not book this for you.
Other locations
The activity can be organised at almost any venue, as long as there is sufficient space to set up a suitable area. Outdoor shoots normally require a space of approximately 300m x 50m.
Permission
All youth members must have parent/guardian permission to take part in an Archery session.
The BWDS – Combined Activity Consent Form should be completed by the parent/guardian of all participants and handed to the activity instructors at the start of the session. Note: This form can also be used for Rifle Shooting and Tomahawk Throwing.
Cost
A small charge of £10 is made for each session in order to maintain equipment and targets. The BWDS Leader team work voluntarily and may request additional expenses (such as travel costs) which would be included in overall cost to you and discussed before hand.
Booking
To book a session, please email archery@bwds.org.uk with your preferred dates and location.
